POLICIES

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS & WORKFLOW
Organized Raw Footage:
-
Submit files in a clearly labelled folder structure (by topic, segment, or sequence). Disorganized footage may delay the timeline.
-
I retain project files for up to 30 days after final delivery. After this period, files will be deleted. If you need re-exports or adjustments after this window, additional fees may apply.
-
For more infomation read the Upload Guide for more details on uploading.
Script or Outline:
-
Required for structured content (e.g. educational videos, challenges, storytelling formats). This guides pacing, tone, and edit flow.
Thumbnail Reference:
-
Strongly encouraged. A concept or draft helps define tone and marketing direction, especially for YouTube.
Approved Submission Platforms:
-
Use Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer. Other platforms must be agreed upon in advance.
Timely Delivery:
-
If footage or assets arrive late, the project timeline will be pushed back accordingly. Deadline delivery edits may incur additional fees.
-
All timelines refer to first draft delivery, not final delivery.
Footage Disclaimer:
-
Final exports are optimized for your chosen platform (e.g. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram). If you need multiple formats or aspect ratios, please specify during onboarding.
-
For short films, features, or online content, all required materials must be submitted before editing begins. If key scenes, clips, or assets are missing, the project will be delayed. I cannot guarantee timelines or be held responsible for delays caused by incomplete or late submissions.
Communication & Workflow Expectations:
-
All communication is conducted via email or scheduled video calls.
-
Clients must respond to feedback and approvals within 3–5 business days to maintain momentum.
-
Delays in communication or asset delivery may result in rescheduled timelines or additional charges.
TIMELINES, REVISIONS & PAYMENTS
Turnaround Time:
-
Standard projects: First draft, 3–9 business days (depending on package).
-
Larger projects: First draft takes up to 14 days (depending on package).
-
High-impact launches or campaigns: timelines discussed during consultation
Revisions Policy:
-
Each project includes 2 rounds of revisions for creative alignment.
-
Additional revisions: £15-£20 per round (depending on package).
-
Revision requests must be submitted within 5 business days of receiving the draft.
-
Revisions are for refinements: full structural overhauls require prior agreement.
Deposits & Payment:
-
A 50% deposit is required to secure your project slot.
-
Remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final approved version.
-
Accepted payment methods: Bank Transfer, PayPal, or other agreed platforms.
-
Any major changes to project scope (e.g. new footage, format shifts, added deliverables) after editing begins may require timeline extensions and additional fees. These will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding.
-
Deadline Guarantee Option:
-
If you require guaranteed delivery by a specific date, a +25% fee will be added to the project total. This ensures priority scheduling and focused turnaround.
-
Rush requests outside standard timelines may be accepted based on availability. These are subject to a minimum +25% fee and must be discussed before project acceptance.
CREATIVITY, RIGHTS & CANCELLATIONS
Creative Boundaries:
-
I may advise against edits that compromise the emotional clarity, pacing, or coherence of your project.
-
Final delivery formats include MP4, MOV, or platform-optimized versions for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
Ownership & Usage Rights:
-
Upon full payment, all final edited content belongs to the client.
-
I retain the right to showcase portions of the work for portfolio or promotional use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
-
I appreciate being credited as editor or consultant where appropriate (e.g. YouTube descriptions, festival submissions, credits). This helps support indie collaboration and visibility.
Cancellation & Refunds:
-
Deposits are non-refundable unless agreed upon due to exceptional circumstances.
-
If a project is terminated mid-production, partial refunds may be considered based on work completed.
